CHARITABLE IRA ROLLOVER

Juanita Hoffman and her late husband, Dr. Robert Hoffman, have found the Charitable IRA Rollover to be an easy and effective way to support both the Southwest Tower (Campaign for Excellence) and, more recently, the Northwest Patient Tower, which is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2014.

Bob and Juanita are long-time Fullerton residents. She practiced estate law for many years, and he was a retired physician. Bob passed way in April of 2013. Juanita currently serves on the St. Jude Memorial Foundation Board of Directors, as well as the Finance Committee.

Juanita says that, "The Charitable IRA Rollover is a great way to get money out of your estate to potentially reduce your estate tax. Contributions which are rolled over directly to charity from your IRA account also count toward your required minimum distribution; thus, you do not have to realize that income which might move you up to a higher tax bracket."
